This small cloudscape evokes the feeling of fresh, rushing wind over the wide land as the sky continually moves and changes. Vibrant colors and active brushstrokes fill the canvas with life and movement.

My inspiration for the Wide & Free collection comes from my family’s summer vacation to Montana, with its wide open fields full of color and texture set against expansive skies. Painting larger and looser than I have in a long time feels SO wonderful and freeing! This series is an exploration of joyful color, expressive mark-making and the freedom found in wide, unbounded spaces.
